Sponsor · Western Wildfire Support Act of 2025 This bill addresses wildfires by authorizing post-fire recovery activities, supporting adoption of technology, and requiring additional federal coordination. The bill authorizes federal wildfire response and recovery activities by providing statutory authority for Burned Area Emergency Response Teams to coordinate emergency stabilization and erosion planning, and establishing an account to fund federal rehabilitation projects in areas impacted by a wildfire (e. g. , ecosystem restoration, replacing infrastructure critical for land management).

Sponsor · Cybersecurity for Rural Water Systems Act This bill directs the Department of Agriculture (USDA) to establish a cybersecurity circuit rider program to provide cybersecurity technical assistance for rural water and wastewater systems. The program must be structured similarly to the USDA Circuit Rider Program. Under this program, USDA provides technical assistance to rural water systems that serve areas with populations of 10,000 or fewer people and are experiencing day-to-day operational, financial, or managerial issues. Specifically, the cybersecurity circuit rider program must provide technical assistance to rural water or wastewater systems to provide rapid assessments of the system's current ability or inability to respond to cybersecurity threats and protect cyber infrastructure, develop reasonable protocols to enhance cybersecurity protection, provide assistance to address inadequate cyber protection plans, and document a system's current state of water supply cyber protection.

Sponsor · Combating Illicit Xylazine Act This bill regulates xylazine under the Controlled Substances Act (CSA). Xylazine, also known as tranq , is a nonopioid sedative and pain reliever that is approved for use in animals. Recently, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has reported an increase in trafficking of fentanyl mixed with xylazine. This bill adds xylazine, including its salts, isomers, and salts of isomers, to schedule III of the CSA.

Cosponsor · Train More Nurses Act This bill requires the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Labor to jointly report on existing grant programs that support the nurse workforce. The report must include recommendations on how to change the grant programs to (1) increase nurse faculty in underserved areas, (2) provide more pathways for experienced nurses to become faculty at schools of nursing, and (3) support pathways for licensed practical nurses to become registered nurses.

Cosponsor · Improving Seniors' Timely Access to Care Act of 2025 This bill establishes several requirements and standards relating to prior authorization processes under Medicare Advantage (MA) plans. Specifically, MA plans must (1) establish an electronic prior authorization program that meets specified standards; (2) annually submit to the CMS for publication specified prior authorization information, including the percentage of requests approved and the average response time; and (3) meet other standards, as set by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), relating to the quality and timeliness of prior authorization determinations. The CMS and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology must publish on the CMS' website a report that analyzes the information received from MA plans, the feasibility of implementing real-time decision making with respect to prior authorization requests, and the impact of decisions that are made using artificial intelligence on patient access.
